Appeal for witnesses to A3 crash

A man in his 60s dies after his car is in collision with a lorry.

The man was driving south along the A3 when his blue Ford Fiesta collided with a lorry on the A3 between Hook and Esher at 12.35pm today.

The driver of the Fiesta, believed to be in his late 60s, was taken by ambulance to hospital but pronounced dead. The lorry driver was not injured.

Two lanes of the southbound A3 were closed to traffic until 4pm.

Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw the vehicles involved prior to the accident to call 01483 639922.
